Winter Classic House Party featuring Sabres Alumni Game

The Buffalo Sabres today announced plans to host a House Party at HSBC Arena on New Years Day, in conjunction with the AMP Energy NHL Winter Classic between the Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Winter Classic House Party presented by BlueCross BlueShield will feature a pre-game scrimmage at 11:30 a.m. with the Sabres Alumni facing off against members of the Buffalo Police and Fire Departments, followed by a live HDTV broadcast of the Winter Classic on HSBC Arena's new HD video scoreboard.

General admission tickets for the Winter Classic House Party are $5 each, with all proceeds going to the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. Fans attending the event will be eligible to win autographed Buffalo Sabres Winter Classic jerseys that will be given away during the game. In addition, one lucky family will win the ultimate seat upgrade, as they will be whisked away by limousine to watch the Winter Classic live at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Fans will be able to watch the game on the new HD video scoreboard, while listening to the synched-up radio coverage of Sabres broadcasters Rick Jeanneret and Harry Neale. The arena will operate just like a regular home game, including game presentation elements and Sabretooth. All arena concessions will be open throughout the game, as will the Sabres Store. The unique game-day atmosphere will also include games for the kids, and a Sabres Autographed Puck Surprise

Parking for the event in the adjacent lots around HSBC Arena will be free of charge.
